Mantooth, Alice Marie, age 90, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2009. She was a charter member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church, Insurance Women of America, and Beta Sigma Phi. She was a graduate of the old Knoxville High School. Preceded in death by her husband, Homer C. Mantooth; parents, Charles E. and Martha Foust Miller; grandson, Mark Edward Mantooth; sisters, Jessie Turner and Mary Lowery; brothers, George, Earl, Charles, Roy and Robert Miller. Alice is survived by her son, Edward E. and wife Sharon Ann Mantooth of Knoxville; grandson, Scott E. Mantooth of Knoxville; great-grandsons, Jacob and Cody Evans of Florida; sisters, Hazel Cabbage, Hazel Coward, Mildred Lowery; sisters-in-law, Betty Mantooth and Caroline Miller; several nieces and nephews and many other family and friends. The family would like to express the "Special Thanks" to the staff of Amedisys Home Care for their wonderful care during her illness. The family will receive friends Monday, March 2, 2009, from 5 - 7 pm at Woodhaven Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at 11:00 am at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens with Rev.
