Fran Hackworth Shelton, 88, of Clinton, TN passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021.   Fran was born July 31, 1933 to Raymond Hackworth & Daisy McGhee Hackworth in Oliver Springs, TN. She was known as Aunt Fran or Granny Fran.  She was a member of Edgemoor Baptist Church and enjoyed taking care of her family, pets, and truly anyone in need…that was her heart.  She retired from the Holiday Inn in Oak Ridge, TN, where she was a waitress for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond & Daisy; her husband, Herb Shelton; her brother, James Albert Hackworth; her sister, Betty Hackworth Williams; and her nieces, Alisa Hackworth McGhee and Francene Chandler Weaver.

Fran is survived by her sisters, Faye Smith, Doris Jean Teffetteller, and Linda Smith; a special nephew, Gary Hackworth; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many friends that were all considered family.

The family will receive friends & family from 4:00PM – 6:00PM, followed by a funeral service at 6:00PM on December 16, 2021 at Woodhaven Funeral Home.  The graveside service will be at 10AM at Oak Ridge Memorial Park where Tim McGhee will lead.
