Amanda Renee L'Heureux, 32, of Knoxville,TN passed away Friday, December 03, 2021.   She was born February 08, 1989 in Scottsboro, Alabama and was adopted by James & Marlene Owens.  She was a member of Powell United Methodist Church, and worked in warehousing and logistics.  Her great sense of humor and passion for helping others will be sorely missed.

Amanda is preceded in death by her biological parents, Eddie L'Heureux and Patricia Sims.

She is survived by her husband, Michael David Curtis; her father, James Owens; mother, Marlene Owens; her brother, James L'Heureux; 3 half brothers, Albert L'Heureux, Daniel L'Heureux, and Jonathon L'Heureux; his step-mother, Linda L'Heureux; his grandmother, Carolyn Sims; and several friends and other family members.

A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 6:00 PM at Powell United Methodist Church.

Amanda was a strong advocate for people recovering from substance addiction.  In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to "Recovery at Powell" in Amanda's name.  Their website is: powellumc.churchcenter.com/giving
