Anton Frank Walczyk, 100, of Powell, TN., passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018. Anton was born June 10, 1917 in Washington County, Colorado to Paul and Klara Walczyk. Anton was the last original deacon of First Baptist Church of Powell, where he had been a member for 70 years. He was a WWII Army veteran and an honorary member of Powell Masonic Lodge. Before retirement, Mr. Walczyk worked as a machinist for Robert Shaw Fulton Company. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening and woodworking. Mr. Walczyk was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 55 years Ethel Walczyk, one brother Sylvester Walczyk, and two sisters Clara Lowman and Mary Anne Green.
He is survived by two daughters, Sandra (Louie) Lusk and Jeanne (Stephen) Zirkle, five brothers Emil Walczyk, Paul Walczyk, Frank Walzcyk, Lukus Walczyk, and HermanWalczyk, three sisters Pauline Frenzel, Cecilia Kalous, and Angeline Walczyk, four grandchildren Natasha Lusk, Alyson (Adam) Shastid, David Lusk, and Jennifer (Tommy) Mullins, six great grandchildren Cole Lusk, Jared Shastid, Trey Mullins, Elliotte Shastid, Jaxon Mullins, and William Wallace, and
several nieces and nephews.
A very special thank you for all of the loving care goes to all of the nurses and caregivers and to Smoky Mountain Hospice. Honorary Pallbearers are David Lusk, Adam Shastid, Tommy Mullins, and Ronnie Evans. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to The Pat Summit Foundation or Children's Bible Ministries.
Visitation will be Thursday evening, May 17, 2018, from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Woodhaven Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, with the Funeral Service to follow at 7PM. Interment will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, May 18, 2018 with Pastor Jim Waddell officiating at Woodhaven Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 160 Edgemoor Road, Powell, Tn. 37849.
