Basil Wayne Huett, 78 , of Clinton, passed away Sunday evening, April 8, 2018.  He was born December 9, 1939 to Basil & Dorothy Huett in Big Springs, Texas. He grew up in the Baptist faith.  Basil attended Clinton High School and was a graduate of the Class of '58.  He enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.  Basil retired from Greyhound Bus Lines, where he was a driver for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Basil & Dorothy Huett; his grandson, Zachary Cardwell; his 6 month granddaughter, Maddison Huett; and his God-daughter Eva Mae Henderson.

Basil is survived by his soul mate and partner Patricia Huett; five daughters and their husbands, Tamra Richardson, Melody & Tony Chellino, Seretha & Michael Poor, Heather Huett, and Elizabeth Huett; two God-daughters and their husbands, Robin & Doug Banks and Stacie & Lawrence Lunsford; 8 grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters, Melvin Huett, Karen Rader, Richard Johnson, Jane Johnson, and Steve Johnson; several nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends.

Visitation will be on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm with the Funeral Service to follow.  Franklin Eppinette will officiate the service at Woodhaven Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 160 Edgemoor Road, Powell, TN 37849.   Basil was loved by many and missed by all.
