Gooch, Bertie F. (Lewis), age 84, of Oak Ridge, passed away at her home on Sunday, August 7, 2011. She was a member of Woodland Park Baptist Church of Oak Ridge and Eastern Star in Danville, KY., where she lived for over 40 years. Bertie loved to travel and never met a stranger. She loved her family and was loved by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Lillie Horn; husband, Hobert Gooch;1 brother and 6 sisters. Survivors include her husband, Jason Lewis; step-children, Jeff Lewis and wife Pamela, Steve Lewis and wife Susan, Donna Maletich and family, Patsy Artrip and family; grandchildren, Casey, Stephanie, Tim and Jason Lewis; great-grandchild, Caden Alexander Smith; several nieces and nephews and many other family and friends. Special thanks to UT Oncologist Group and Amedysis Hospice & Home Care. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 10, between 12 - 2 pm with funeral service to follow at Woodhaven Funeral Home Chapel; Rev. Herbert Lee, officiating.
