Betty J. (Sheldon) Freels went to be with her lord and savior on October 19, 2024, in Powell, TN.

Born March 20, 1946, to Charles Lawrence and Annie (Holder) Sheldon in Oliver Springs, TN. Her first marriage was to Jess Freels Sr.

She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years Jay Major, her children Teresa Freels, Becky (Dale) Cummings, and Jess (Kelly) Freels. One brother Dennis Freels. Stepdaughters Kim Sharp and Vickie (Doug) Rayfield. Grandchildren Sheldon Harrington, Emily Reif, Matthew Reif, Austin Freels, Justin Freels and Madison Freels.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Joyce Yaste and infant Joseph Thomas Sheldon.

Private family service will take place at a later date.
