Betty Ruth Rouse, 82, of South Clinton, TN passed Tuesday afternoon, February 09, 2016. She was born June 28, 1933 in Franklin, KY and raised in a Catholic home. She served as the Jail Inspector for Anderson County where she was appointed and served 12 years. Betty was always active in the local political scene and had a heart for animal issues.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Noble Rouse; and her son Jimmy Rouse.
She is survived by her daughters Gwenda Childress of Powell, Sharon Payne of Clinton and Patricia Rouse of Clinton; her son Robert Rouse of Clinton; her grandchildren Madison Payne and Brandon (Gretchen) Payne, Casey Payne, Cody (Brittany) Payne, and Kelli (Ray) Knight; great grandchildren Jackson, Norah, Thatcher and Lola Grace; a special mention to Gordon Brooks, who was like a son; and her constant feline companion Spot.
The family will receive family and friends on Thursday February 11, 2016 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at Woodhaven Funeral Home, 160 Edgemoor Road, Powell, TN 37849. Graveside will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens; Father H. Joseph Minarik will officiate.
