Billy Kenneth Hunter, 90, of Powell, TN went to be the Lord early Sunday morning, September 11, 2022, at home surround by family.  Billy was born on Friday, February 12, 1932 to General Lee & Gertrude Mitchell Hunter in New Hope, Alabama.  He retired from Y-12 in Oak Ridge and retired again as a part-time employee at Deals Small Engine Repair in Clinton.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of First Baptist Church of Powell.  He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Olan Hunter; two sisters, Jeanette Whitt and Kathleen Dalton; and his son Charles Lee Hunter.

Billy is survived by his wife of 70 years, Catherine Trewhitt Hunter; his son and wife, Kenneth & Lynda Hunter; his daughter, Diane Hunter Patterson; his grandson, Luke Patterson; his granddaughter and husband, Katie Patterson & Alex Hirschy; plus other family and friends.

All services will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Woodhaven Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 160 Edgemoor Road in Claxton.  The family will received friends from 11AM to 12PM in the Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Service at 12PM in the Woodhaven Chapel.
