Billy Floyd Overton, 78, of Powell, TN went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 09, 2022.  He was a member of Bells Campground Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and Sunday School Teacher.   Billy served in Vietnam in the US Marine Corp from 1963 to 1967.  He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant.   He was the son of the late Ralph & Margaret Overton of Powell, TN.

He is preceded in death by two brothers, James Overton and his wife Edith of Powell, TN and Jack Overton of Duluth, GA; his sister Dolores Ferguson of Knoxville, TN.

Billy is survived by his loving wife, Doris Overton; his daughter Denise Overton of Powell, TN; two brothers, John (Lori) Overton, Ben (Bridgette) Overton; his sister Louise (Harry) Lewis; five nephews; four nieces; and other family and friends.

Graveside Service will be held at 11:00AM at Lynch Bethel Cemetery on Wednesday, February 16, 2022.  The cemetery is located on East Emory Road.
