Bobbie Rumbley Proffitt, age 86 of Knoxville, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2020 at Elmcroft of Halls Memory Care. She was a member of Northside Christian Church for 50 years and loved her church family dearly. She worked for Bell South Telephone company all of her working years and retired after 35 years of dedicated service.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend with a huge heart. She loved to make others laugh with her great sense of humor and always had a sweet smile to give whether she felt like it or not.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Garfield, her parents, stepmother, 3 sisters, several in laws and nephews.

She is survived by her son Chip Proffitt, daughter Amie Deaver and husband Jason, grandchildren Brandon, Haley Green and husband Blake, Connor and "little" Blake, sister Donna Hensley, brother in law Dr. JC Tumblin and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to say a special thank you to all of the staff at Autumn Care Karns, Elmcroft of Halls, UT Hospice and Dr Ivy, Ashley and Matte of KOC for going above and beyond to care for our mother.

Graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at 2:00PM in Woodhaven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Frits Haverkamp officiating.
