Bonne Trouten, age 86, went home to be with the Lord on March 18, 2023 after a long illness. Bonnie was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Bonnie was born in Chicago, Illinois and married her husband Duane in 1966. Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents Helen and George Rojek, her daughter, Ellen Moore and her grandson, Sam Johnson.
Bonnie leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband Duane Trouten; her son Mark Engelthaler (Lesa); grandsons, Matt Engelthaler (Jill) and Dave Engelthaler (Kristi); five great grandchildren, Lucy, Jane, Lennon, Cru, and Mack. Her twin sister, Barbara (Bob) Swatland, and her older sister Georgianna Ryl; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bonnie loved to play her grand piano, loved to listen to and sing in the choir at church. After raising Mark and Ellen, Bonnie went back to school to become an operating room technician and worked in several hospitals for over 25 years. After retiring, Bonnie and Duane moved to Florida but after three hurricanes in three years, they headed north and settled in Knoxville where they met many wonderful friends, neighbors, and fellow church members.
