Brenda (Hounchell) Ison went to be with the Lord, April 29th, 2016. Known in the community by MIMI she always had an open door. Born in 1947 she was a great fan of Gospel music and sang in a family Quartet for many years. Brenda was a Hair Designer and Master Colorist.
Brenda is preceded in death by her mother and father Earl and Juanita Hounchell; husband Walker Ison; sister Glenda Hounchell; and adopted son Mark Henderlight.
She is survived by her daughter Jessica Jayne Ison, Son Greg Lee Ison, and Adopted daughters Daphne Oxendine and Erin Yantes; Brother Roy and sister in law Sandra Gregory, Sisters Linda (Cub) and brother in law Carroll Rogers, Margie Blankenship, Teresa Terra; Grandchildren Kaden and Amaya Ison, Shyrene Hoskins; Adopted grandchildren Catrell Grinnell, Anthony Oxendine, Autum Hawkins, Ahmadre Darrisaw, Anyae Harris, Taylor and Brody Yantes; Great grandchildren Chaney Hoskins and Alexianna Oxendine; Numerous Aunts and Uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
