BRENDA (McCORMACK) KING aka Mimi, 68.    Brenda lost a valiant but brief battle to cancer in the afternoon hours of Saturday, October 15, 2022 with her children by her side at Fort Sanders Medical Center.  Mimi was the Matriarch of the family, the glue that held us together, hosting all holidays; of which Christmas was her favorite. She never missed a day of work and spent her free time reading books and spoiling her grandchildren.

Brenda was a doting mother and grandmother.  She loved her family infinitely!  She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Melanie Everett (Jay), Brandy Mettler (Andrew) and son Justin King (Heather); her grandchildren Levi, Grace, and Carter Everett, Samuel and Selah Mettler, Harrison and Mason King; sister, Hazel Martin (Bobby), brother Nathan McCormack (Brenda), sister Bonita Hunter (Freddie) and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Brenda is preceded in death by, husband Joseph Wayne King; mother, Mary Louise Trimmer and husband Neil; father, Ephard McCormack; brothers Robert McCormack, Cloys McCormack, David McCormack, Larry McCormack, Donald McCormack, Lonnie McCormack, Leon McCormack and sister Dorothy Taylor.

She will be missed by ALL who knew her!
