Obituary

Billy Bruce Buhl of Claxton/Powell ended his journey in this life on June 9, 2017 peacefully at his home after an extended period of declining health with his loving wife/caregiver by his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Earl and Edna Inez Coward Buhl: sisters, Helen Bowman (Harold), Dorothy Buhl Harkleroad, brothers, Vaughn Buhl (Lynn), Ray Buhl (Wanda).
He served in the Air Force, worked at the Oak Ridge Nuclear Plants for many years and retired from the K25 plant in 1996. He was an avid University of Tennessee fan, fisherman, and hunter.
He is survived by his loving wife, Loretta Buhl; step children, David Roach (Tracy), Heather Roach Caudill (Rodney), and very special grandson, Riley that he thought the world of; Brother-in-law, Raymond Harkleroad; Cousin, Betty Moody; several nieces and nephews, and special niece, Michelle Buhl and Cindy Buhl. Many precious friends, special friends and neighbors, Alan and Nancy Ledford; special friends, Kathy Isley, Stanley Foust, Wesley Beard, Billy Ray Carter, and Norman Foust.
A special thank you to his amazing doctor, Dr. Ann D. Carter, his nurse with Aspire Health, Donna Stanten, Covenant Home Care/Hospice, and very special thank you for the Dept. of Labor, Professional Case Management, Case Manager Marlena Blandford, and all the nurses, special nurses, Lisa Faulkner, Katrina West, and a special thank you to Susan Adkisson, Regional Director with ColdWar Patriots.
