Obituary
METCALF, BUFORD GLEN "PAP" - age 93 of Claxton Community went home to be with the Lord on Friday October 10, 2014.
He was a United States Army Veteran serving in WWII in the South Pacific. Was member of Beaver Ridge Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Metcalf was preceded in death by wife Dixie; great granddaughter Mahala Jones; and seven brothers & sisters. He is survived by sons, Roger Metcalf & wife Kathy, Ronald Metcalf and wife Marie, Doug Metcalf and wife Anna, Jay Metcalf and wife Candy; daughters, Kay Wilson and husband Harold, June Berry, Rita McMahan & husband Sam, Nancy Jones & husband Tim; several grandchildren and great children; brother, Ray Metcalf and sister, Selma Mahler.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00PM, funeral & Masonic service will follow at 7:00PM at Woodhaven Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Allison officiating. Graveside service will be Wednesday 11:00am at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Leland Mayfield officiating. Share your thoughts and condolences with the family through this online guestbook.
