Catherine Turner Barker, age 77, of Clinton, passed away November 1, 2012, at Parkwest Hospital in Knoxville. Catherine will be remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved her as an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who was full of love, laughter and fearless determination. She served the community through her lengthy career as a public health nurse at the Anderson County Health Department. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Stuart Barker; parents, Carl Ernest and Violet Louise Turner; brother, Carl Eugene Turner; and sisters, Beulah Fae Kesterson and Mary Helen Turner. Survivors include daughters, Cathy Lynn Barker of Clinton and Mary Alice Brummette (husband Steven) of Knoxville; son, Russell David Stuart Barker (wife Crystal) of Clinton; grandchildren, Jessica Amber Wills of Brandon, Mississippi, Peyton Gabriel Wills (wife Ariel) of Clinton, Ansley Grace Barker of Clinton; great-grandchildren, Dylan Reed Sherwood and Harper Eden Wills of Clinton; siblings, Wilma Jean Jarnigan of Clinton, Roy Thomas Turner of Clinton, Barbara Sue Taylor of Claxton; and numerous nieces and nephews. A private family service and burial will be held on November 5 at Woodhaven Cemetery in Claxton with Pastor Peyton Wills officiating.
