Godsey, Rev. Charles Edward, age 82, of Clinton, TN, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at his home. He was born February 17, 1929 in Whitley County, KY. He was a member of the Claxton Church of God. He was preceded in death by is parents, Jeremy William Godsey and Eva McQuary Godsey; sister, Lois Godsey; brothers, Kenneth, Orville, Otis and Everett Godsey. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Minnie Scalf Godsey; sons, Eddie Lamar Godsey and wife Becky of Clinton, TN, Paul Godsey and wife Melissa of Daytona Beach, FL, Jeremy Godsey of Clinton, TN; sisters, Hazel Thomas and husband Earl of IL, Ruby Reeves and husband Jessie of Walton, KY; brothers, Jimmy Godsey, Ova Godsey and wife Julie, Lonnie Godsey and wife Delores, all of Corbin, KY; brother-in-law, Jim Scalf and wife Alma of Corbin, KY; sisters-in-law, Glora Edge of Booneville, MS, Jackie Sherbert of Dalton, GA; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends to mourn his passing. The family will receive friends from 1-3 pm Saturday, December 10, at Woodhaven Funeral Home Chapel with funeral service to follow with Rev. Lonnie Godsey and Rev, Jerry Castle, officiating.
