Hensley, Charles Franklin, Jr., age 87 of Powell, passed away Monday, December 12, 2011, at home. Mr. Hensley was a proud WW II Veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Dante Church of God. He is preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Chitwood Hensley; parents, Mr. & Mrs. Charles F. Hensley, Sr.; son, David Franklin Hensley. He is survived by his children, Darlene Hensley of Somerset, KY and Danny & Pat Hensley of Powell; grandchildren, Michael Damon & Lisa McLaughlin, Lucretia Scarbrough & Brad Chambers, Matthew Hensley & Chante LaDage, Marina & Daniel Thompson; great-grandchildren, Madeline McLaughlin, Raygan Scarbrough, Mildred Thompson, Kaylee Scarbrough, Sophia McLaughlin, True McLaughlin; brother, Howard Hensley. The family will receive friends Friday, December 16, from 5-7 pm at Woodhaven Funeral Home Chapel with funeral service following, Rev. Michael McLaughlin and Rev. Darrell Griffis, officiating. Family and friends will gather at 9:45 am Saturday, December 17, for a 10:00 am graveside service at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens.
