Charles Lee Hunter, 59, of Powell, TN, while surround by family, went to be with the Lord on Friday October 16, 2015. He was a construction engineer at various locations including UT Hospital, Denark Construction Company and Johnson & Galyon Construction Company. Charlie was a member of Bell Campground Baptist Church and an avid golfer.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents GL and Gertrude Hunter, Ted W. Trewhitt Sr., Fannie Trewhitt McAmis and step-grandfather Ed McAmis.
He is survived by his loving parents BK and Catherine Hunter; brother Kenneth (Lynda) Hunter; his sister Diane Hunter Patterson; and his nephew and niece Luke and Katie Patterson.
Receiving of family and friends will be on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM with the entombment service to follow at Woodhaven Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 160 Edgemoor Rd, Powell, TN 37849. Pastor Jim Waddell will officiate. The family would like to thank the staff at Tennessee Cancer Specialists, especially to RN Kristi Barger and Dr. Richard Antonucci.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the First Baptist Church Powell Building Fund.
