Kanipe, Charles, died peacefully at home on April 14, 2011. He was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his Father, Lee Kanipe, his Mother, Lillian Kanipe and his sister, Reba Jean Kanipe. He leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Taffy Kanipe, a daughter, Libby Strupp and husband Kelly, a son, Jason Kanipe and wife Julie. He also left 6 Grandchildren whom he loved dearly. Also left behind are brothers, Lawrence Kanipe and girlfriend Joyce Goins and J.C. Kanipe and wife Ginevea. He had 5 Nephews and 1 Niece and several Great Nieces and Nephews. Also his best friend, Curtis (Cline) Jones. He will be missed by all who loved him. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 16, 2011 from 7pm til 8pm with funeral services at 8pm at Woodhaven Funeral Home Chapel on Edgemoor Rd. in Claxton. Rev. T.H. Ferrell will officiate. Graveside services will be conducted at 3:30pm on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Woodhaven Memoral Gardens. Family and friends will meet at the graveside at 3:15pm on Sunday.
