Newman, Chuckey R., age 55, of Kodak, passed away Friday, September 26, 2008, at Ft. Sanders Sevier Medical Center. He was of the Baptist faith. He retired from Dyke Industries after serving 20 years. Chuck loved his family and enjoyed his grandchildren. He coached many years at Inskip Ball Field and was loved by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed. He loved to hunt and fish. He was preceded in death by his parents, R.L. and Louise Hipshire Newman. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Gina; sons, Cheetah Ray, Billy, Doug, Chuckey and wife Hannah, Joshua and wife Mallie; daughter, Melissa and husband John; grandchildren, Cody, Allie, Kallie, Bret, Jacob, Jobe, Blake, Kelsey and Brianna; brothers, Steve Newman and wife Carol, Mike Newman; nephews, Scott, Joe, Mike, Chris and Matthew; niece, Janie Marie; special aunts, Geraldine and Jessie; special cousins and sisters-in law. The family will receive friends Monday, September 29, 2008, from 6-8 pm at Woodhaven Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at 3:00pm at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bill Pressley and Rev. Carl Powell, officiating.
