David Lee Sprinkle, Sr. 61, of Knoxville, TN, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017. He was a retiree of UPS/ Overnite Transportation Company. David logged many miles during his trucking career and earned several Safety Awards for driving a million miles accident-free. David made many friends while traveling the roads across the USA. After retirement he enjoyed working on vintage cars, tinkering in his garage and collecting vintage guitars. David was a loving father and grandfather.
Proceeded in death by his parents, Billy & Minnie Sprinkle; his former wife Cindy Hooper; and his best friend Brett French.
Survived by his son and care givers David Jr. and wife Missy; his grandchildren Luke along with Cody, and Caitlin; his Goddaughter Candace; his brothers Bill & sister-in-law Cindy Sprinkle, and John & sister-in-law Karen Sprinkle; along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 6-8 pm with funeral service at 8 pm at Woodhaven Funeral Home. Graveside will be Monday, August 28th at 10am at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens.
