Diana 'Kay' Whicker, 72 of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord February 18, 2018. Kay was born on June 12th, 1945. Kay was the seventh of eight children blessed to Nettie and John Wright Sr. She loved her siblings which included: Doyle, Jane, Charles, Shirley, James, Johnny Jr. and Tommy Sue.

She met her husband Garry at Kay's Colonial Room where he was a cook and she dipped ice cream. They were married on July 19th, 1965 and had two children Jeffrey and Stefanie and then four grandchildren Beverly, Nathaniel, Craig and Kendra.

She was a wonderful wife, sister, mother and grandmother. She was a sweet and precious soul who will be missed greatly by those whose life she touched.

Services will be held at Smithwood Baptist Church, in Fountain City, 4914 Jacksboro Pike, Knoxville, TN 37918, on Wednesday February 21, 2018. Visitation will held be from 6:00pm – 7:00pm with a funeral service at 7:00pm. There will be a graveside service the following morning 11:00am at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens, in Claxton,  160 Edgemoor Rd, Powell, TN 37849.  Woodhaven Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens are honored to serve the Whicker family.
