It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Donald Michael Cobb, who left to be with our Lord on Thursday May 1, 2025. Donald was born February 27th, 1943, in Westfield, PA. to Donald Patrick, and Elsie Frieda Brugger/ Cobb.
Donald is preceded in death by his mother; Elsie Frieda Brugger/ Cobb, father; Donald Patrick Cobb, brother; David Edward Cobb, wife; Patricia Ann Oneill/ Cobb, and sister; Brenda Joyce Cobb/ Wilkinson.
Donald is survived by his brother; Dale Richard Cobb of Rochester, NY., and daughters; JudyLynn (Patrick) Cobb/ Dennis of Clinton, TN., and Diane Marie (Wayne) Cobb/ Bailey of Oak Ridge, TN., four grandchildren and one great- grandchild.
Donald graduated from Cowanesque Valley High School in Westfield, PA. before joining the US Navy and became a photographer. On May 29th, 1965, he married the love of his life, Patricia Ann Oneill/ Cobb for 58 years. Together they raised two children, JudyLynn, and Diane Marie. After leaving the military, Donald worked for a brief period at NASA in Wallops Island, VA. He then worked for the Xerox Corporation in Rochester, NY. And Webster NY. For 35 years and as a bailiff in Ontario, NY. For 15 years before retiring.
In post-retirement, Donald volunteered at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. For 17 years and gained many close friends he called family. Donald was a member of Kern United Methodist Church in Oak Ridge, TN. for many years.
Donald will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his work, and his commitment to serving his country. He will leave behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and strength that will be forever cherished by all who knew him. Donald will be deeply missed, but his memory will live in the hearts of his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
A celebration of Donald's life will be held 10:00am May 31st, 2025, at Canterfield Assisted Living located at 200 Bus Terminal Rd. in Oak Ridge. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:00pm at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens located at 160 Edgemoor Rd. in Powell, TN.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the East TN. Alzheimer's Association.
