Powell, TN Douglas Wayne Hughes, 70, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Fort Sander Medical Center following complications from a brief illness.
He leaves the love of his life of almost 50 years, Pamela (Hahn) Hughes; his son, Jeremy Hughes and his wife, Cori Hughes; his precious granddaughter Harper Savanah; his brother Kenneth Hughes and his wife; nephews and nieces; and many close friends.
Born and raised in Erwin, TN, the son of Robert and Mary Lucille (Miller) Hughes, he was a lifelong resident of Johnson City until recently moving to Powell.
No funeral services will be held and the family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Antioch Baptist Church in Johnson City, TN. Woodhaven Funeral Home is honored to serve the Hughes family.
