Eula Gaynell Moneymaker, 92, of Strawberry Plains, TN passed Friday, August 19, 2016 at home surrounded by family. She loved to sew, read, and never missed her favorite soap opera, As the World Turns and later the Young & the Restless. Gay worked as a seamstress for many years and retired from Palm Beach Factory of Knoxville. She will be missed by her family, especially her best buddy, Rocky the dog.
She is preceded in death by her husband Paul Moneymaker; their children, Ted Monroe Moneymaker, Judith Ann Moneymaker, and Janice Kenner; her parents Harrison & Ida Shelby; her brothers Robert, Monteray, and Lloyd "June"Shelby; and two sisters Barbara Conatser, and Jewell Clevanger.
Gay is survived by two daughters, Gail (Michael) McMillian, and Sandra (Gerald) Martin; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; along with many other family and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 23, 2016 from 6pm to 8pm at Woodhaven Funeral Home, 160 Edgemoor Road, Powell, TN 37849. Graveside service will be at 10am Wednesday, August 24th at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens. Harley Campbell will officiate the service.
