Ezra Brady, 90, of Knoxville, TN went to his heavenly home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 2, 2016.He was born on March 11, 1926 in Etowah, TN. Ezra proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II. After the war, he married the love of his life and moved to Knoxville to build a home and family. He was a loving Christian son, husband, father and grandfather. Ezra was a machinist who retired in 1988 from Martin Marietta, K-25 plant. He enjoyed making guns, working on anything mechanical, and the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, turkey shoots, and metal detecting. Ezra loved his family and friends. He was known for his quick wit and practical jokes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Basil and Sarah Brady, and siblings, Marion, Aaron, Edna, Nellie,Irene, Wanda, Herman, and Billy.
Ezra is survived by his wife of 70 years, Mina Lee (Gunter) Brady; son, Nathan Brady and wife Sandra (Chig); daughter, Naomi Durham and husband Richard; granddaughter and the light of his eyes, Natalie Brady and step-granddaughter, Allison James; special nieces, Loy Molchan, Evonne Rucker, Elaine Wilcox, and a host of other family members.
The Family would like to thank special friends and neighbors, Rick and Bonnie Cooper for their love, support, and help; also, the Caris Healthcare staff, especially, Christina, Amy, and Stephen who went above and beyond to make sure Ezra was happy and comfortable.
