Hicks, Florence Joyce (Joy) , age 83, Formerly of Powell, TN, went home to be with the Lord February 9, 2015. She is now forever re-united with "the love of her life" William (Bill) Harris Hicks Sr.. Joy dedicated her life to giving to others. The countless lives she touched and saved; as a nurse of 42 years, were abundant. She leaves; son William (bill) Harris Hicks Jr. (Jewell); daughters Glenda Hicks-Forster(Albert) and Sandra Ellen Hicks; sisters Bette Smemo and Beverly Diaz; sister-in-laws Alva Tudor and Veronika Tudor. Joy was a favorite aunt among her many nieces and nephews. Her only grandson Joseph (Joe) Stephen Swafford was the "light of her life." Visitation will be Saturday February 14, 2015 from 10:00am- 11:00am with funeral service at 11:00am at Woodhaven Funeral Home, 160 Edgemoor Rd, Powell, TN .
