Obituary

Floyd Wallace Vos, 86, of Powell, TN went home to the Lord Friday August 21, 2015, surrounded by family. He was a Marine first and foremost. Floyd was a Staff Sergeant during the Korean War. He spent his life serving the Lord in International Missions; sharing the Gospel while building schools and churches with Team Mission. He was a member of Callahan Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Jenny Vos; daughter-in-law Emmagene Vos; and niece Valerie Gay. Floyd is survived by his loving wife and soul mate of 65 years Lois Vos; sons Dale (Linda); Mike Vos; daughter Diane Vos (Gary Kirby); grandchildren Gabe, Jessica and Amanda; great grandchildren Lilly, and Mason; his brother Howard Vos; and niece Marcia Zachensky. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:30 on Tuesday August 25, 2015 at Woodhaven Funeral Home, 160 Edgemoor Road, Powell, TN with a Service to follow. Pastors Carlos Florist and Marc Sasser will eulogize. Graveside will follow at 2:30 at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens..In lieu of flowers the family wishes for donations to The Floyd & Lois Vos Mission Foundation.PO Box 70088, Knoxville, TN 37938-0088.
