Frances Lou Emma Wilkerson, 73, of Powell, TN passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Summit View Nursing Home. She was friendly, loving and had a big smile. Frances was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents Johnny and Myrtle Buckner; and her brothers, Kenneth, Homer, and J.D. Buckner; and her sisters Gertie and Jessie.
Frances is survived by her sister Hettie Paul, from Union County; her three daughters, Peggy (Timothy) Carpenter, Brenda (Kevin) Hennessy, and Sherry (JR) Risden; her son George Wilkerson and his fiance Ashley Strever; her grandchildren, Michelle (Matt) McGhee from Clinton, Savannah and Adam Hennessy from Andersonville, Randy & Nikki Smith from Halls, April & Teddy Bush of Maryville, Michael & Melissa Smith of Halls, and Kim & Jordan Collier from Clinton; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 11:00am -12:00pm with Service at 12:00pm at Woodhaven Funeral Home, 160 Edgemoor Rd. Claxton, TN 37849. Interment will follow the Funeral Service at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens. Pastor Clarence Sexton will officiate all services.
