Hurst, Frances Lee, age 70 of the Claxton Community, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at her home. She was a loving mother and grandmother and dear sweet sister. She liked to travel. She was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church of Clinton. She is preceded in death by her parents, mother, Myrtle (Ferrell) Stinnett, father, Lee Ferrell; sister, Shirley Watson. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Gene Hurst; sons, Kevin and wife Shawna Hurst of Claxton, David and wife Amanda Hurst of Halls; step-sons, Steve Hurst and Chuck Hurst; daughters, Susan and husband David; step-daughters, LaWana Pollitt and Rhonda Sue Craig; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; brother, Frank Farrell of Jefferson City; sister, Gwen Loveday of Sevierville; a host of nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7 Thursday, July 18, 2013, with funeral service to follow at 7:00 with Rev. Larry Tilly, officiating at Woodhaven Funeral Home Chapel, Claxton. Graveside Service will be held at 2:00pm Friday, July 19, 2013, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Alcoa Highway.
