Fred Andrew "Andy" Lee, age 57, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2020, at Diversacare in Oak Ridge.  Andy loved to fish and play basketball.  He was the son of the late George and Eulene Lee.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother James E. Lee.

Andy had a smile that would light up the world and had a personality that everyone should have. Andy was hands down the best uncle anyone could ask for. Andy would spend the night with me every weekend and we would play school, go fishing, and have the best time! Andy and I had a special bond.. He was just one of a kind. Andy was the sweetest man who would do anything for you. They call it Down syndrome but we call it down right perfect! Andy loved going to church and loved to worship God in his own way. He would always say "me stay the night with you" but now later on I will get to hear him say "Me stayed the night with Jesus" I'm thankful to know Andy is no longer suffering and no longer in pain. He doesn't have to have anymore hospital stays and no more nursing home stays. He finally got his healing and is in the arms of Jesus now!-----------Kendra Cagle

Andy is survived by brothers George (Sandra) Lee and Gene Lee, sisters Beulah (Jim) Sands, Brenda Wyatt, Linda Shelton and Ott Gamble, Vickie Lee, and Betty (Gary) Maples.  Andy was a wonderful uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Betty and Gary Maples feel so blessed to have been able to take care of Andy in their home for the last 20 years until he became sick.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Diversicare and at Amedysis Hospice for loving Andy and taking such good care of him.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, August 19, 2020, from 5:00PM until 7:00PM in the chapel of Woodhaven Funeral Home. A graveside service will begin at 12:00PM on Thursday, August 20, 2020, in Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
