Goins, Gary W., age 61 of Knoxville, formerly of Claxton, passed away May 29, 2008, after a lingering battle with respiratory illness. He was a member of Edgemoor Baptist Church and a veteran of the US Navy. Mr. Goins is predeceased by his parents, L.S. and Flossie Goins. Survivors include his twin brother, Jerry Goins and wife Brenda of Knoxville; sister, Janice Hall and husband Ed of Knoxville; nieces, Stacey Jackson of Clinton and Chanda Goins of Lawrenceville, GA; nephew, Blake Hall of Knoxville; great niece and nephew, Kristina and Logan Jackson of Clinton. The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to the staff of Lakebrook Place Assisted Living for their care. Family and friends will be received 5-7 pm with funeral services following Sunday, June 1, 2008, at Woodhaven Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Greg Greer will be officiating. Graveside services will be held Monday, June 2, 2008, at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens at 1:00 pm with full military honors.
