Meadows, George Willie, born October 28, 1943, passed away Monday, December 1, 2008, at Norris Health and Rehab, Norris, Tennessee, at the age of 65. He was of the Baptist faith. He worked as a construction worker at the K-25 plant in Oak Ridge before becoming ill. Mr. Meadows was preceded in death by his parents, Sterling Lawson Meadows and Dora Acres Meadows and brother, Sterling Loyd Meadows. He is survived by three daughters, Andrea Morgan Meadows Andrews of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Michele Leslie Meadows of Tucson, Arizona, and Latasha Meadows of Winfield, Tennessee; two sisters, LaJanice Meadows Price and Delores Meadows Watters, both of Powell, Tennessee; two brothers, John Howard Meadows of Powell, Tennessee, and Edward Lee Meadows of Jamestown, Tennessee; many nieces and nephews; two life-long friends, Steve Lambert and Tom Owens. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 6, 2008, from 12-2 pm at Woodhaven Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Crestin Burk, officiating. Interment will follow at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens.
