Gerald Doyle "Jerry" went to be with his heavenly father on Tuesday September 27, 2022.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Clara Doyle; brother, Daniel Doyle, Jr; sister, Joanne Nagel and her husband John, and son-in-law, Travis Zimmerman.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carol Doyle; sons, Joseph Doyle, and Patrick Doyle; daughter, Geri Lee Rader and husband Dewayne; grandchildren Layne Doyle and Maci Rader; sisters in law Joan Doyle and Sharon Smith (Wes); brother-in-law Ken Witt (Darlene); and several nieces and nephews.

Jerry was 1953 a graduate of Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw, Michigan. He served 4 years inthe United States Air Force in Communications with most of that time stationed in Germany.  While serving in the Air Force, he attended Syracuse University where he learned the Russian language. Upon discharge from the Air Force, he attended Ferris State University in GrandRapids, Michigan graduating 1964 with his bachelor's degree. During his career, Jerry worked for General Motors, Union Carbide, Maxima Corporation, and Performance Development Corporation.

Jerry was an active member of Christus Victor Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing cards, bowling, and watching football. He was a fan of the University of Michigan and the University of Tennessee.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, from 6-7 pm with a Memorial Service at 7 pm at Christus Victor Lutheran Church, 4110 Central Avenue Pike, Knoxville, TN 37912. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christus Victor Lutheran Church.
