IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Haleigh Elizabeth
Aston
March 6, 2001 – May 17, 2021
Haleigh Elizabeth Aston
This precious gift was given to us on March 06, 2001 and taken from us on May 17, 2021. She was born in Columbus, Ohio. She lived in Pickerington, Ohio and attended Pickerington Central High School until her junior year when she moved to Powell, TN. Haleigh graduated from Clinton High School in 2019. She was nominated one of the most outstanding students by her teachers and was chosen as a Harvard University nominee.
Haleigh was diagnosed with a very rare form of Ovarian Cancer in her senior year at Clinton High School. Her senior year was challenging but through it all she remained strong and was determined to win her battle over this ugly disease. Because of ongoing chemotherapy and surgery Haleigh decided to choose a college closer to home. She was determined to move forward with her plans to study Veterinary Medicine and was accepted by two of the top colleges in Tennessee. Her love for animals was evident as a very young child. Becoming a veterinarian was her life long dream and was all she talked and planned for. Part of that goal was to also rescue and care for animals and to find loving homes for them. Not only was Haleigh an avid animal lover but a gifted artist, writer, and young entrepreneur of her very own company, "The Crested Bunch"
She was a planner and goal setter for her success and in her young life had accomplished so much. To have a friendship with Haleigh was a blessing to anyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She extended kindness and uplifting words to others always ready to encourage them. She was a very avid and vocal voice to the other ladies in the ovarian cancer group; encouraging them to stay strong and keep fighting.
There have been some very special people in Haleigh's life; Haley Porter was one of those amazing friends. They have been life long friends since childhood and they were like sisters. Another special friend is Sarah Jackson, they met during their high school years at Pickerington. We would like to extend our sincerest thanks and appreciation to Elen & Ray Porter for their continuous support, love, prayers, and kindness.
Thank you to Haleigh's fiancé, Sean Tallent, for being there to hold Haleigh's hand and comfort her after her surgeries and chemotherapy treatments. Thank you to Aunt Cindy for giving Haleigh a dream vacation to Cancun for High School graduation. Thank you to MAKE A WISH Foundation for trying to make her wish come true but due to the pandemic, were not able to. Our appreciation goes to all the doctors and nurses who were part of Haleigh's courageous fight over the last three years. Lastly, thank you to all of Haleigh's friends and family for their prayers and beautiful tributes in her honor. She was a blessing to anyone who was lucky enough to know her. A celebration of her life will be planned at a later date for her Tennessee family and friends and another for her Ohio family and friends. OUR ANGEL GOT HER WINGS
Woodhaven Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens is honored to serve Haleigh and her family.
