Helen Anita Collins Farmer, 60, of Powell, TN passed peacefully Tuesday, November 29, 2016. She was a member of Community Baptist Church, in Oliver Springs. Helen loved to care for others and spent her professional career doing so as a Home Health Provider. When away from work she never stop loving others especially her grandchildren. Helen enjoyed being out in the garden or busy at church.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents K.D. and Lenore Collins; and her son Darrell Farmer; step-son Jimmy Knott; her brother Kenneth Collins; sister Geraldine Childs; and father-in-law Charlie Farmer Jr.
She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years James David Farmer Sr.; her 2 children J.D. Farmer, Tracy (Kevin) Bolden, and step-daughter Maggie (Lee) Garrett; numerous grandchildren; Her brother Freddy Collins and sisters Mildred McKinney and Geneva (Ronnie) Childs; and her best friend Kim Inklebarger.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 5, 2016 from 11am -Noon; with a service at Noon, where Preacher Robert H. Combs, Jr. will officiate. Graveside will be held following the service at Woodhaven Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens; Preacher Glenn Sullivan will officiate.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to Cancer Centers of America or Community Baptist Church in Helen''s name.
There were two things Helen always told her family; "You''re my favorite" and "I love you"
