Snellings, Howard L., age 86 of Powell, TN passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015. He was an active member of RIO Praise and Worship Center in Knoxville. Howard was retired from Johnson Controls of Oak Ridge, Tennessee and he was an avid hunter. He is preceded in death by his Loving Wife Alene Snelling; parents the late Harvey Lee Snellings and Cythia Snellings; stepson Larry Ray Snellings; brothers Archie, Walter, and H.M. Snellings; sisters Eva Snellings and Gladys Randolph.
He is survived by, stepson Sonny Snellings and wife Pam of Greenville, SC, step grandchildren Phillip Snellings of Dallas, Amy Wasniewski and husband Eric of Clemson, SC, Shanna Doan and husband Donnie of Jellico, and Larry Ray Snellings, Jr and wife April of Kansas City, Mo. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10, from 1:00-2:00PM with memorial service following at Woodhaven Funeral Home, 160 Edgemoor Rd, Powell, TN 37849 Memorials may be made to RIO Praise and Worship Center, 3702 Knox Lane, Knoxville, 37917; Pastors Don and Opal Dalton.
