Abbott, Hubert Carlos (Smiley), age 69 of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2010, after a long illness at Fort Sanders Hospital. He was a member of Central Point Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by parents, Roy and Damia Abbott; brother, Ralph Abbott; mother-in-law, Anna Spurling. Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Mary Abbott; daughter and son-in-law, Mona and Randy Inman; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Judy Abbott; grandsons, Colby and Carter Abbott; favorite brother-in-law, Ken Spurling; niece, Kristie Spurling; brothers, Ray, Raymond, Bill and Gordon Abbott. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Tuesday, January 26, at Central Point Baptist Church, 3617 Central Point Road, Rockford, TN 37853, with funeral service following at 7pm with Pastor Chris Cupp, Rev. Louie Branch, and Rev. George Seay, officiating. Interment will be Wednesday, January 27, at 1pm at Central Point Baptist Church with Rev. Ralph White, officiating.
