Ina Lou Gilliam, or Ann as her friends and family called her, was born on August 24th, 1921 in Lake City, Tennessee to Otis and Marie Dabney. She was the 3rd of 12 children and lost her mom at the age of 16. She helped raise the other children including her newly born sister Raney. In 1946 she married Marion Gilliam and they adopted Garry and Sue. Ina is survived by her brother Ores Lee Dabney of
Clinton, Tennessee, her sister Raney Boyle of Muncie, Indiana, her brother Elmer Dabney of Hernando, Mississippi, her brother Mickey Dabney of Mountain View, Arkansas, her son Garry Gilliam, her daughter Sue Schlottmann of Reno, Nevada, and her 8 grand children, Luke, Jake, Elizabeth, Jeremiah, Roxann, Dallas, Rachel, and Rebekah.
Ina loved family, cooking, sewing, and was active in church. She taught herself to play piano at an early age. A celebration of her life will be held graveside at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens, Powell, Tennessee, on April 1st at 12:00pm.
