Isabelle Frances Walker Conley, 89, of Heiskell, and formally of Oak Ridge TN, passed away peacefully Monday, March 20, 2017, at home. Ms. Conley visited her brothers and sisters, who where working on the Manhattan Project in the Secret City days, and loved it so much that she moved there in 1946. She worked in the Community Store, the Bank of Oak Ridge, and as a teacher''s aid at Highland View Elementary School, the current location of the Children''s Museum of Oak Ridge. After 25 years as a medical Administrator with Dr. Pugh & Dr. DePerfio''s offices, Ms. Conley retired from Acraloc Corporation, where she was a Purchasing Agent. She was raised in the Baptist faith. Ms. Conley was an avid Bowler and Bingo player. She played in the Bowling Leagues in the 1970''s. She loved to garden, feed the birds, and spend time with her great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death her parents, Ezra & Vella Walker, three brothers, Robert H. Walker, Ezra Lee Walker, Jr. and Charles Leland Walker; and three sisters, Leatha Upton, Mary Ruth Toon, and Peggy Rose Clarke.
Ms. Conley is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Glynn & Monica Conley; her grandchildren an spouses, Blair Edward and Bonni Conley, Chelsey & Daniel Kurtz, Christia & Craig McGhee and Zachary & Julia Sexton; her 9 great-grandchildren, Brandy, Brooke, Blake, Becca, Clay, Wyatt, Savannah, Cambree, and Owen; her sister Lillian Oliver; and other family and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, March 24, 2017 from 6-8pm, with a service to follow at 8pm; where Pastor David Snyder will officiate at Woodhaven Funeral Home, 160 Edgemoor Road, Powell, TN 37849. Graveside Service will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11am at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens.
A special thanks to three of Ms. Conley''s special friends, Pat McMillan, Bernice Simmons, and Rosie Fowler for all their love and friendship over the years.
