IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Matthew
Clevenger
February 12, 1982 – September 12, 2024
James "Matthew" Clevenger, age 42, formerly of Knoxville most recent Memphis, went to be with his Jesus on September 12, 2024. He worked as an electrician since graduating high school and took great pride in his work. Last summer he was able to take his son, Bryson, to work and teach him a lot, time they both treasured. His two-year fight with pancreatic cancer was long and painful but he never lost his joy. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son and brother with a beautiful bright fun-loving personality. He loved and adored his kids and enjoyed being a father the most. He was full of smiles, laughter and a jokester at heart. He welcomed everyone with open arms and never met a stranger.
Preceded in death by grandparents, Curt and Grace Clevenger, RD and Joy Davis, Uncle Ronnie Davis. Survived by his wife Mary Clevenger, daughter Maddie Clevenger, son Bryson Clevenger, stepdaughters Audreanna and Ashlee Hill, stepsons Seth Hill and Levi Clevenger, mother Debbie Davis Clevenger, father Jim Clevenger (Sharon), sister Aubrey Burger (Richard), nephews Landan Wells, Spencer Burger and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Best friend (like a brother), Daniel Perez.
Family will receive friends 12:00-2:00pm Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Woodhaven Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens (160 Edgemoor Road, Powell, TN 37849), with service at 2:00 pm and burial to immediately follow. Dr. Jim Robertson and Pastor Mark McCoig officiating.
Pallbearers Jason Stooksbury, John Stooksbury, Daniel Perez, Justin Meredith, Matt Blackmon, Chris Rutherford and Joey Trammell.
