James " JW " Coffman, age 75 of Harriman, TN. passed away on January 14, 2024. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam as a door gunner on helicopters, went on to become a licensed helicopter pilot in the Army National Guard. He worked for the I.B.E.W. for over 30 years as an electrician, loved U.T. Football, fishing, riding his motorcycle, but above all he loved his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Charlie and Willie Mae Coffman, brother; CK Coffman.
He is survived by his wife; Angel Coffman, son; William (Sue) Coffman, daughter; Sonya (Mike) McWilliams, brother; LA (Linda) Coffman, sisters; Leda Loope, Rosie (Gary) Jones, four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends January 30, 2024 from 5 to 7 pm. for a memorial service at Woodhaven Funeral Home located at 160 Edgemoor Rd. in Powell, TN.
