James L Welch II, of Knoxville, TN left this earth for his heavenly home on Monday March 07, 2016. Jimmy was a graduate of Central High School, was an avid cross-country runner, cyclist, and enjoyed model building, landscaping, and fishing. He enjoyed recalling his childhood memories growing up in the Fountain City/ Inskip area where there were plenty of places to hike, spelunk and explore. Jimmy''s sense of humor was unlike any his family has known. It was truly head-snapping and could cause some of the biggest belly laughs ever! We will miss those unanticipated jokes and comments that he so quick-wittedly would throw in on us.
Preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy is survived by his sisters, Lori Hensley, Barbara Wicks, and Kelly Ogle; and numerous nieces and nephews (both human and of the four-legged variety) - all of whom he loved and who will miss him.
A Memorial Service celebrating Jimmy''s life and resurrection will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Woodhaven Funeral Home, 160 Edgemoor Rd, Powell, TN, with Rev. Mike Seger officiating.
