Obituary

James Mont Kendrick, 87, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, April 09, 2022, with family by his side.  Mont was born the youngest of six in a farmhouse where Bull Run Steam Plant now stands.  He was preceded in death by his parents Jay & Joyce Kendrick as well as four siblings.  He is survived by his loving wife Nancy of 67 years; his sister, Bonnie Palmer; his children, Bryan (Beth) Kendrick, Peggy (James) Hamby, and Kent (Alison) Kendrick; his grandchildren, Nicki (Marcus) McGee, Brandon (Dylan) Kendrick, Tyler (Mallory) Kendrick, Carly, Bryce, Brett, Blake, and Caleb (April) Hamby; 10 great-children; and other family and friends.

Mont enjoyed Golf, card games, Westerns, and Orange Sherbet.  Spending time with his family telling stories was his greatest joy.  Mont always had a joke to tell, which preceded his contagious giggle.

Mont was a member of Hardin Valley Church of Christ where family will receive visitors on Thursday, April 14th, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM.  Services to follow.
