Jason Alexander Gallaher, 44, of Powell passed away Friday, May 28, 2021. Jason was born to Eugene & Mattie Gallaher on June 10, 1976. Jason loved the Claxton & Clinton community. He coached, mentored, and loved all kids he came into contact with, while being with various sporting organizations. He made everyone feel very special & loved. He always had a helping hand for anyone who needed it and his home was always open to anyone who needed him. He enjoyed riding his motorcycles with his father and brothers.
He gave his children the best life he possibly could and he lived life everyday to the fullest. He always had a smile on his face and was loved by so many people. He was known as "Uncle Bird" to many. He was so much more than a coach. Jason loved watching all sports, and those who knew him knew he was an avid Michigan Wolverine fan. Jason enjoyed music, spending time with family & loved all of his GVP family. He was a devout Christian and a Child of God.
Jason's loved ones that welcomed him into Heaven include his Father Eugene Gallaher; Grandchildren Tamar & Quamyiz Gallaher; his Grandmother Ethel Gallaher "Nan-Nan"; Grandfather Ed Myers; Uncle Ronnie Hill; and his Aunt Beulah Wells.
He is survived by his Daughters, Brittany Wallace, Rhyquausia Hurd (Tyrontae Henry), Jaylen Hayden, Janee Hayden; Son, Jason Gallaher, two grandchildren, Serenity Wallace and Awgust Henry; his Mother, Mattie Gallaher; Brothers, Scottie Gallaher (Alicia Pence) and DeAndre Simone Thomas; his lifetime companion & best friend, Tamara Hayden; his nine Aunts, Wilma Ursery, Lois Sharp, Sue (Vert) Jones, Joyce (Larry) Woods, Georgia Reed, Wanda Myers, Kathy Myers, Jacqueline Hill, and Willie (Leonard) Butler; his Uncle James (Tawana) Hill; plus a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, June 02, 2021 at 2:00PM with Pastor Daryl Arnold, of Overcoming Believers Church, officiating. The service will be in the Chapel Garden, at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens, 160 Edgemoor Road, Claxton, TN 37849.
