Franse, John Eldridge, age 74, of Lake City, passed away June 2, 2008. He was a member of Bishopsville Baptist Church and attended Calvary Baptist Church on Raccoon Valley Road and a veteran of the US Air Force. Mr. Franse is preceded in death by his parents, John S. & Bertha Cagley Franse; brothers, David and Henry Franse; sister, Marie Franse; son, Carl Franse; grandson, Michael Gary Bray. Survivors: wife of 34 years, Sue; sons, Johnny Franse and wife Karen of South Carolina, Mike Bray of Lake City, Stanley E. Franse and wife Amy of Powell, Kyle Franse of Lake City; daughters, Debbie Weidner and husband Ray of Arizona, June Ulrich and husband Greg of Florida, Judy Simmons of South Carolina; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Rossie Chapman and husband Harold of Arizona, Ruth Newman and Hank of Claxton, Hazel Baker and husband Howard of Heiskell; special friend, Mitchel Wallace and his daughter Jennifer Wallace. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Wednesday, June 4, 2008, with funeral service following at 8pm in Woodhaven Funeral Home Chapel.
