Jordan, Johnnie David, age 63, of Claxton, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2008, at his home. He was a member of Second Baptist Church of Clinton where he taught an Adult Sunday School Class for many years. He was a teacher who loved all aspects of history. He loved to travel with his wife Anita, exploring and taking pictures of out of the way places. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie C. and Geraldine Webb Jordan. Survivors include his wife, Anita Higdon Jordan; daughters, Jeneen Stratton and husband Michael, Joy Barbeau and husband Larry, Jennefer Jordan; grandchildren, Siera Russell, Jordan Chapin, Jared Stratton and Raina Jordan; aunt and uncle, Jean & Bob Culver; cousins, Dawn Richardson, Gary Reid, Gail Armistead, Miriam Sanders and Tyrone Jordan. The family will receive friends, Saturday, September 20, 2008, from 6-8pm with a funeral service following at 8pm, in the Woodhaven Chapel with Rev. Mike Thompson, officiating.
