Norris, Johnnie Murphy, age 88, of Powell. He was born February 19, 1925 and passed September 10, 2013. He was of the Baptist faith. Johnnie was a World War II Veteran serving with the 3rd Infantry Division. He was retired from ALLTEL (Frontier) Telephone Company after serving 35 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Dora Hill Norris; brothers, Leonard, Herman, Gene; sisters, Thelma, Florence, Joyce; son, Denny Norris. He is survived by his son, John E and Gail Norris; daughter, Teresa Norris Vaught and Harold Turpin; grandsons, Eric Vaught & Autumn, Chris Vaught & wife Kellie, Brian Norris; great-grandchildren, Everleigh Vaught and Jonathan Machleit. The family will receive friends Friday, September 13, from 5 - 7 pm with a 7:00 pm funeral following at Woodhaven Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be Saturday, September 14, at 11:00 am at Bell''s Campground Cemetery with military honors provided by Volunteer State Honor Guard.
